Social Science

The Social Science Department at Bitney College Prep is a three year program consistent with state graduation requirements and the admissions policies of both state university systems. In addition, we strive to meet or exceed the expectations of the California Education Framework. Beyond that, the goal of the Bitney College Prep Social Science Department is to graduate a citizen who is geographically, historically, and politically literate. We seek to accomplish this goal on a regional, national, and global level. Social Sciences classes are required of students as follows: Sophomores take one full year of World History; Juniors take one full year of U.S History; Seniors take one semester of Economics and one of Government.
